We accept new clients.
We accept new clients.
We serve clients and families from age 2 years and up: children, adolescents, adults and seniors. We work with individuals, couples/marriage, and families as needed. Our approach is holistic, integrated, and collaborative. Services are provided in person and/or via telehealth.
CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), TFT (Thought Field Therapy or tapping), family systems therapy (multigenerational, strategic, structural, experiential, solution focused, narrative, emotion focused, and IFS therapy), play therapy, and AAP (animal assisted psychotherapy).
Mental Health, addiction (alcohol, drugs, behavior, process), trauma, autism spectrum, abuse/neglect, attachment, adjustment, family issues, relationships, foster care, child protection, adoption, divorce, blended family, family reunification, anger, emotional/behavioral/ relational dysregulations, grief/loss, bullying, harassments, domestic violence, sexuality, sexual identity, racism, diversity, social justice, culture, immigration, spirituality, military families, legal issues (probation, parole, etc.), and previous poor mental health services.
We provide supervision, but its screening process is rigorous. Not everyone is fit to be a therapist. We see too many poorly experienced/trained therapists in the field. You as a clinician may be encouraged to have your own therapy to be a better clinician as well as a better person. Wounded healers need to be healed before they can heal others. We will encourage/push you to grow and mature as a person who is the foundation as a therapist. This is what therapists ask clients to do. We need to practice what we preach. If therapists cannot, we would do harm to our clients than help. The training and health care system needs to improve. We do not accept interns.
Please notice that we do not fill out paperwork (FLMA, eligibility for other services) and/or release clinical record only after a few meetings, so please do not refer clients just for an assessment and/or paperwork. We do not take these referrals. We would fill out/release the paperwork and/or clinical record only as part of ongoing services and when it is deemed clinically appropriate by our clinicians.
